Reading progress update: I've read 86 out of 352 pages.
Dude, they are carving Darrow up like a Thanksgiving turkey (no pun intended). This is insane on the level of detail to how they're making him over.
On the other hand, Mickey's actually managed to make me chuckle a few times in his introduction. He comes across as a bit of a mad scientist type, spontaneous and maybe a a little too attached to his work.
Still reading. I do have a few issues in some places of the narrative (namely with the overuse of the word pretty to describe women), but it's keeping the momentum going in this part of the book.
