The Fault in Our Stars - John Green

So I passed out from sleep far too early, but I managed to get a little bit into it.

So far, as much as the characters are being carried through the narrative with their quirks, I'm under the impression that they are *too* quirky, and that's extremely distracting.  The humor and emotional resonance have been hit and miss with me, but for the most part, I'm following Hazel and Augustus fine.  I just wish the narrative flow felt more natural and less forced.
