Reading progress update: I've read 12%.
I feel bad for Nathan in some ways like I felt bad for Matt from "House of the Scorpion" by Nancy Farmer, only I think while both boys are judged rather harshly for their respective identities, Matt was a far more fascinating character to watch grow up. For some reason, Nathan's narrative's missing something, I'm not sure what. But he's getting a hard deal, that's for sure.
