Friend Me!: Six Hundred Years of Social Networking in America (Single Titles)

Friend Me!: 600 Years of Social Networking in America - Francesca Davis DiPiazza Very interesting analysis of various sorts of networking used in different social groups. It's written quite well, and reads easy - which would make a great resource of middle grade and young adult, though I think the presentation of these networks are a bit randomized, though it's clear that it progresses in a chronological order. There are discussions of social networks among Native American tribes, slaves, and eventually the book delves a little bit into the influence of contemporary networks such as Facebook. It was still a good resource to use for introductory measures, and I certainly consider it valuable read.Overall: 3/5Note: I received this as an ARC from NetGalley, from the publisher Lerner Publishing Group/Twenty-First Century Books.
