This was another quick writing book that I downloaded for the Kindle for free. Brenda Hill touches briefly, but raises interesting points upon several important issues in writing a novel and incorporates her own experience in terms that are easy to understand and relate to. It doesn't feel like she's talking to you as far as what you must do, but rather approaches issues using a combination of examples from her own work and her own experiences with certain issues like using 1st or 3rd person or how to examine the important aspects of your pitch.I found it worth the brief read though it's probably not as "in-depth" as other writing guides out there. It felt more as if it were just a general guide given to supplement a lecture or a seminar outlining these aspects. Still, I found it worth reading not only to get a sense of the author's background, but also her process.
