Review: The Grownup by Gillian Flynn

Quick review for a quick read. Moral of this story: never take any of Gillian Flynn's characters at face value. They will screw you over every chance they get.
I took this short story to be a good example of dark humor with multiple unreliable narrators. I found myself liking it while at the same time venting my frustration at the MC for just accepting the information that was dumped in her lap. The story revolves around a con artist (who just so happens to give excellent hand jobs. Self professed, mind you.) She ends up running a scam fortune telling operation that has her coming across a woman who thinks her house is being haunted. All kinds of calculated mayhem erupt from there.
Julia Whelan does an excellent job with the audiobook narration. All in all, I liked it, even for a brief read and the fact I was shaking my head at some of the things that transpired in the story.
Overall score: 3.5/5 stars.
